Sapagkat hindi kalooban ng Kanyang puso ang magpahirap at magdulot ng dalamhati sa mga anak ng tao.
Tze'enah Ure'enah
“Nonetheless” [3:33]. Nonetheless, God does not punish the person for his sins nor does He make the person mournful, but the sins cause all of this.
Rashi
For He does not torment willfully nor cause men grief. From His heart and from His will;27Alternatively, if man does not humble himself from haughtiness, God will cause him grief. (Targum) rather the sin causes [the grief].
